Insight Out Wales – helps turn creative ideas into businesses

Do you have a new creative idea with business potential?
Will your business be based in Wales?

Do you work or hope to work in the new media industry and want to be your own boss?

If you answered yes to these questions then the forthcoming Insight Out Wales programme may be for you ……

Insight Out Wales has been developed for new media graduates who want to start a new or develop an early stage business in Wales.
It has been created by NESTA (the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts) and is run in partnership with Creative Business Wales, part of the Welsh Assembly Government.
Your business idea must be based on new media content creation or distribution and could be using music, interactive media, gaming, animation, film, video, web and mobile entertainment technologies or be multi-platform.

Want to be paid to train and want funding to start-up your own new media business?

We give you £1,000 for attending the whole training programme and the chance to pitch for £5,000 in start-up funding.

What does it involve?

There will be lots of inspiration, practical advice, ideas and support throughout the programme including individual meetings with a business advisor, an accountant and a legal professional. You’ll also receive training from someone who understands the links between business and creativity.
